As two high school teachers who have taught in this district collectively for over forty years, we are proud to avail ourselves of the opportunity to endorse most heartily Jude Makulec in her efforts to be elected to the Rockford School Board from District D.

For almost a decade we have known Jude as the parent of three of our students, as a tireless volunteer at many events of her children’s school, as a member and often leader of educational improvement committees, as a chaperone for a variety of extra-curricular events, as a loyal supporter of sound educational policies and worthy innovations, as a warm hostess who opens her home for faculty fellowship, and as a firm personal friend.

For all of these years Jude has served as a totally dependable, focused, seriously committed champion of the best education for all children.  An ever concerned, involved parent, Jude has educated herself in the past on best academic practices and continues to remain current in knowing contemporary educational theories, policies, and legislative enactments which have impacted Rockford and will continue to shape our school district.

We attest to Jude’s tireless work ethic, ability to organize people to get things done, serious commitment to the stability and enhancement of her community, and love of education.

Proof of her tremendous abilities resides in three wonderful children who emulate in responsibility, determination, and success their ever – active role model mother.

The fact that her children have left home now for higher educational endeavors in no way has diminished Jude’s concern for her local schools.  Her commendable sincerity and devotion to service are simply a part of her belief in civic stewardship as fundamental to health and soundness of any community.

Rockford Schools will rest in secure hands, commitment of purpose, and clarity of focus if Jude Makulec is elected to serve.  We base our beliefs stated above solidly on a decade of interaction with this remarkable woman, mother, leader, friend.
