“…willingness to listen, learn, and then lead…”
From Michael Simmons, Pastor, Spring Creek United Church of Christ
Jude Makulec is the kind of person that every citizen wants as a community leader, and I want her as a leader of Rockford Public Schools, District 205 (RPS 205). Jude and her husband Jeff have been RPS 205 parents for nearly 20 years, and during that time she has served in just about every volunteer role she could because she cares about quality education for her children and the children of our community.Unafraid to ask the hard questions about what our school system is doing or not doing and why, Jude Makulec is also unflinching in her commitment to be a part of the answers – to make things better.
Among the range of attributes Jude Makulec will bring to RPS 205 are a sharp mind and a quick wit, experience as a parent at all levels of our school system, creative problem solving skills, effective communication skills, commitment to carefully managing limited resources, deep faith in the worthiness of all children to have a quality education, and a demonstrated willingness to listen, learn, and then lead toward workable solutions.
I consider it a privilege to know Jude Makulec and to commend her as a candidate for the Rockford Public Schools, District 205 Board of Education. She will serve us well.
